VINNIES WINTER APPEAL

Winter Appeal

As the colder months set in, our school is once again supporting the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal, a vital initiative that helps provide warmth, dignity and care to people experiencing hardship during winter.

This year, we are asking our school community to come together to support this cause.

Foundation to Year 2 students are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items such as honey, jam, hot chocolate, small cans of flavoured tuna, baked beans, soups, or any other ready-made meals in pouches.

Please note: no dry pasta, canned lentils, canned tomatoes, or similar—these require extra ingredients and equipment to prepare. NO nuts.

Students in Years 3 to 6 are invited to donate toiletries, including (but not limited to) toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap bars, roll-on deodorant, and sanitary items.

Please note: No toilet paper.

This initiative encourages us to take action and live out what we’ve been learning in Religious Education about Catholic Social Teaching principles of Preferential Option for the Poor and Dignity of the Human Person, which remind us that we are called to put the needs of the most vulnerable members of our community first. By supporting the Winter Appeal, we are living out our faith in action, showing kindness and love to those who may be struggling.

Thank you for your support,
