For your calendar:
Quiz Night – 14 August
Mary Rice Day – 28 August
- Senior School Teachers’ Afternoon Tea – 4 May
We’ll be putting together some home-cooked treats for the teachers as a small thank you. If you’re able to help in any way, we would really appreciate it. We’re also hoping to introduce Mother’s Day and Father’s Day events at the Senior School (dates to be confirmed).
These are already such special (and well-loved!) events at the Junior School, so it would be amazing to start building something similar for our Senior School community. If you’d like to be involved in helping with any of these, please let us know — we’d love your help.
We also spoke about a few exciting ideas and initiatives for the Senior School this year, including:
- Exploring plans for a Quad upgrade/refresh
- Claire looking into ways to enhance the wellbeing breakout space
And another great idea that came out of the meeting was creating a business directory for Old Virgilians. We’re in the process of setting up a meeting with Enzo from the Old Virgilians Association to get this moving as soon as possible — this will be such a valuable resource for both our current and past students.
We’re all learning and finding our way together, so please feel free to reach out anytime — between meetings, with ideas, questions, or just to connect. That’s what this is all about.
It’s just so lovely to have such a supportive and collaborative group coming together — exactly what we had hoped for. Here’s to a fun, connected and fulfilling year ahead!
Easter Raffle
Junior School
The Junior School is holding an Easter Raffle for a giant hamper.
Tickets can be bought from the Junior School office or through QKR!
Tickets cost $2 each, 3 for $5, 7 tickets for $10 and 15 tickets for $20.
Senior School
The Senior School Parents & Friends Association is seeking donations for our much-loved Easter Raffle! This is always a very popular event in our community, and we would be so grateful for any Easter-themed contributions — chocolate eggs, baskets, gift items, or anything festive and fun. Donations can be dropped to the Senior School Front Office, with the cut-off for contributions being 9am, Friday 27 March.
Tickets can be purchased through QKR! and are the same price as the Junior School tickets, starting at $2 each. There is also an option to buy tickets as a family member.
The raffle will be drawn on Tuesday 31 March.
Thank you in advance for helping us make this a special and successful fundraiser for our boys and our College community.
