Mr William Geeves
Over recent weeks, we have seen a very positive start to the implementation of Linewize Connect at our Senior Campus. The platform has supported improved focus in the classroom, strengthened our ability to guide appropriate device use and provided greater visibility to ensure student devices are being used to support learning. We appreciate the support of our families as we continue to embed this across the College and build consistent, positive digital habits for our students.
As part of the broader Linewize ecosystem, we will soon be sharing further information about Qustodio, the parent application that allows families to support safe habits at home. We will be launching this with an online information session, providing families with the opportunity to tune in from a location that suits them. Further details will be shared shortly.
Upholding Our College Uniform Expectations
Our College uniform is an important part of our identity and reflects a sense of pride, belonging and respect within our community. Students are expected to wear the correct uniform each day, including travelling to and from the College. The formal uniform is to be worn unless students have a scheduled Physical Education lesson, are enrolled in a HPE subject in Years 11/12, or are representing the College in timetabled school sport. This does not extend to club or representative sport.
We greatly value the support of families in reinforcing these expectations at home. Ensuring students are organised and correctly dressed each day helps set a positive tone for learning and upholds the high standards we hold as a College. If there are any challenges in meeting these expectations, we encourage families to communicate with your son’s Pastoral Care Teacher so we can work together to support your son.
Harmony Week
This week, our Middle Years students came together during Extended Pastoral Care to celebrate Harmony Week, an important opportunity to recognise and value the rich cultural diversity within our College and the broader Australian community. Harmony Week promotes the message that everyone belongs, encouraging respect, inclusion, and a strong sense of community. It provides a meaningful platform for students to reflect on their own identity, appreciate the perspectives of others, and strengthen the inclusive culture we strive to build each day.
Families can support these conversations at home by engaging in simple and meaningful discussions about culture, identity, and belonging. This may include sharing family traditions, exploring different cultural foods, discussing the importance of respect and kindness, or reflecting on how we can make others feel included in everyday situations. These small, intentional conversations help reinforce the values of Harmony Week and support our collective goal of nurturing respectful, empathetic, and connected young people.
