School Council Update

School Council met last night with many positive updates. 

Thanks to a parent led initiative a new 100% cotton uniform top is available to purchase through DSC uniforms. Families are also able to provide their own clothes for a $5 embroidery fee. 

Council also heard about the Safe Schools professional development staff undertook. Staff learnt from student experiences, the Child Safe Standards and about measures to support a safe and inclusive environment for all students. 

The Sustainability Committee recognised the huge effort of parents supporting the school garden and the wide and far reaching benefits of the garden for many students. The committee led by Mr And Mrs Earle, are also edging closer to achieving the 5th and final sustainability star- a remarkable achievement! 

Council also approved the upcoming camps, term 4 excursions and swimming programs, which will provide some great opportunities for students.
