Welcome to Term 4

Welcome back to all students, staff and families for Term 4. I hope everyone enjoyed a restful break and is ready for what promises to be a short, exciting and very busy month of summer co-curricular activities.

Before looking ahead, we congratulate our Athletics team on an outstanding finish to Term 3. Following strong performances at the ISA Athletics Carnival, a number of students progressed to the 2026 NSW CIS Athletics Championships, where SPC secured eight podium finishes across track and field events. The College finished with three gold, three silver and two bronze medals, together with several other top five results.

Well done to all involved (our students, staff and coaches) or their commitment and contribution to a highly successful Athletics campaign. The opportunities available through Athletics are vast, and we look forward to continuing to develop and expand these opportunities in the future.

Our summer competitions begin this week, with the opening ISA fixtures providing an exciting start to the term. We wish every student, coach and team the very best for the season ahead and encourage everyone to compete with enthusiasm, sportsmanship and pride in the College.

We also acknowledge our Baseballers who are already into their fourth round of the season, keep up the great work thus far.

Thank you also to the students and staff who participated in activities during the holiday period to prepare for the upcoming season. Our Senior Cricket Program completed four matches, while our Senior Basketball teams competed in the Sydney Schools Shootout. This preparation has provided valuable competition experience and reflects the commitment of everyone involved.

The College swimming carnivals are also approaching, with the Junior School Carnival scheduled for Week 5 and the Senior School Carnival to follow in Week 6. These important College events provide another opportunity for students to participate, support their House, and contribute to the strong spirit of our community. Please keep an eye out for further details for the respective Heads of Sport.

The performing arts calendar will also be busy, with musical recitals commencing next week and continuing from Week 2 through to Week 6. We wish all participants the best of luck with their recitals. Additionally, the TheatreSports Schools Challenge competition commences next week, with the Years 7–8 TheatreSports heats followed by the Years 5–6 heats in Week 3. We wish all performers well as they prepare to showcase their creativity, teamwork and confidence on stage.

Finally, families are reminded that co-curricular (sport) information will now be communicated through the College App using Clipboard. This will become the central platform for schedules, team information, notifications and other important updates. Families are encouraged to regularly check the app to ensure they remain informed throughout the term.

For further information regarding this platform, please refer to the Parents and Student Instructions below. Please don’t hesitate to contact our IT department if there are any questions (itsupport@spc.nsw.edu.au).

We look forward to another positive and rewarding term and thank our students, families, coaches and staff for their continued commitment to the co-curricular life of St Patrick’s College.
