Knox Division AFL 9’s Girls Championships
On Tuesday 21st July, some of our year 5/6 girls competed in the Knox Division AFL Girls Championships. Our three teams represented St Simon’s with outstanding teamwork, determination and sportsmanship.
Congratulations to all our players, with two teams finishing in the top four and another placing in the top ten. We are so proud of the way you competed and represented our school. Well done, girls!

District Basketball
On Monday 20th July, some of our students competeed in the District Basketball Competition. Congratulations to all of our students who proudly represented St Simon's. Our Boys Team finished as District Runners-Up , while our Girls Team were crowned District Premiers!

In other basketball news, a special shout-out to Samia on her selection to represent Victoria at the School Sport Australia Championships! An incredible achievement - we’re so proud!

St Simon Interschool Sport Key Dates 2026
Please note the following date for our SSV Wantirna District and Knox Division for the 2026 calendar year.
These dates are subject to change according to the discretion of the District and Division Coordinator. We wish to provide parents of our school the opportunity to acknowledge when upcoming sporting events are occurring.
We particularly call out to all future Year 5 and 6 parents to note the dates and to be potentially available to support our Interschool Sport teams as parent involvement not only supports our students in many ways as coaches and umpires but helps our staff with assistance with supervision. We thank all parents for their great help in making Interschool Sport a success for St Simon!

Wantirna District Summer Sports (Year 5 & 6) - Day 2 - Tuesday 1st September (Term 3 Week 8)
Wantirna District Summer Sports (Year 5 & 6) - BACK UP DATE if required- Friday 4th September (Term 3 Week 8)
Knox Division Cross Country Championships - Wednesday 16th September (Term 3 Week 10)
Regional Interschool Sport events will be advertised as per the SSV Eastern Regional Metropolitan website.
