Year 7 Girls Netball – Waverley Netball Centre

On Friday 5 June, our Year 7 Girls Netball teams travelled to Waverley Netball Centre to compete against schools from across the region. It was a fantastic day of competition, teamwork and school spirit, with all students representing the school with pride.

The B Team enjoyed an outstanding day, winning two games against Wheelers Hill and Wellington Secondary College and drawing against South Oakleigh. Their consistent performances throughout the day saw them finish on top of the ladder, a wonderful achievement that reflected their teamwork, determination and positive attitude.

The A Team also competed strongly against quality opposition. They secured a convincing win against Wellington Secondary College and were unlucky to lose to Wheelers Hill by just one goal in a closely contested match. Despite also going down to South Oakleigh, the team demonstrated resilience, skill and sportsmanship throughout the day.

Both teams should be congratulated on their efforts. The girls listened carefully to their coaches, worked hard for one another and played every game with passion, heart and fairness. Their positive attitude and commitment made it a great day for everyone involved, and they should be proud of the way they represented the school.

Congratulations to all players on a successful and enjoyable day of netball.

Badminton

Our Year 7 Girls and Year 8 Boys badminton teams recently competed in the Monash Division Round Robin Day, proudly representing our school both on and off the court.

Throughout the day, all students displayed outstanding sportsmanship, respect and teamwork, supporting teammates and opponents alike. Their positive attitude was a credit to our school.

Congratulations to both the Year 7 Girls and Year 8 Boys teams, who finished the day undefeated and will now progress to the next stage of competition.

A special thank you to our student coaches for their leadership, encouragement and support throughout the day. Ker Nee, Mia, Emily, Jordan, Oliver and Wilson all did a fantastic job guiding and selecting the teams and helping create a positive and successful experience for all players.

Brentwood’s team uniforms are being taken hostage!

That’s right we have numbered team tops that have been worn on sports days that have not been returned after competition. We need these uniforms back for future teams to compete.

Parents please check in your son/daughter’s cupboards, drawers and even under their beds for the Brentwood football jumpers, soccer/hockey tops, athletics singlets, basketball tops and socks.  All tops can be returned anonymously to the main office.

Thanks for you help!
