Clyde Community

Community Programs
A number of supports and services are available in Clyde and surrounding suburbs. Clyde Township Community Centre hosts a number of programs, including a new playgroup for babies and toddlers (0-24m).
Another community support that is good to be aware of is Casey North Community Information & Support Service. They can provide support in an emergency, including help with food and medical prescriptions. They are also able to help people find other long-term supports.
Youth Work
Supportive group programs have commenced again this term. These programs aim to support the social and emotional wellbeing of students and involve weekly sessions for groups of up to 4 students, facilitated by our Youth Worker, Ms Nat.
The MPower program focuses on supporting positive social interactions between girls, this is done through exploring concepts such as friendship, communication, empathy and conflict resolution. A group of Year 5 students are currently undertaking the MPower program.
The Revved Up program encourages students to be mindful of how they think, feel and act when they get angry. The program aims to build self-reflection skills and help students to identify helpful strategies they can draw on when faced with challenging situations. This program has commenced with a group of Year 6 students.
We look forward to sharing information about other group programs with you as the year progresses.
