First Days - Dates and Timings

First Day of School - Friday 30th Jan

The first day will be shorter to help children settle in. Teachers focus on helping students feel safe, build independence, learn classroom routines, and enjoy being part of the school community. 

Foundation children's first day of school for 2026 will be Friday 30 January. Only our Foundation and Grade Six children will attend on this day. This gives our youngest learners a calm and gentle start to school life.

Foundation students will begin at 9.30am. The gates will open for parents and students to prepare the start from 9.20am.

Families are welcome to walk their children to the classroom area. We will have a red carpet setup, so please enjoy taking photos and having any last minute cuddles before the day begins.

Foundation students will finish at 2 pm on this first day only. 

On Monday 2 February all students begin the school year. 

Gates open for supervised play from 8.25am. Children must not be left unattended outside the gates before this time.

The music plays at 8.45am and children enter the classrooms. On school days parents are not able to enter as per our school wide child safe practice. The teachers will be busy settling children and cannot stop to chat with parents even though they would like to. If you need to speak to your child's teacher please do so at the end of the day.

Teachers will always check their email before beginning their workday. A quick email to share information or support needs is an effective way to ensure your child has a comfortable day.

The normal school day ends at 3.15pm. Foundation students will pack up and move to pick up areas by 3.10pm to allow them to be be ready before the older children exit their rooms.
