Religious Education

Upcoming Dates

Prayers in Pyjamas is a very special evening where our junior students can share their faith in a relaxed and welcoming environment. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to lead their families in prayer, celebrate their learning, and experience the joy of coming together as a school community. These nights create lasting memories and help strengthen the connection between home, school, and faith.

For all Prep , Year 1 and Year 2 families, please mark your corresponding dates in your calendars:

  • Prep Prayers in Pyjamas: Tuesday, October 14th at 5:30pm
  • Prep Whole Class Mass: Saturday, October 18th at 5:30pm

  • Year 1 Prayers in Pyjamas: Tuesday, October 21st at 5:30pm
  • Year 1 Whole Class Mass: Saturday, October 25th at 5:30pm

  • Year 2 Prayers in Pyjamas: Tuesday, November 11th at 5:30pm
  • Year 2 Whole Class Mass: Saturday, November 15th at 5:30pm

We look forward to celebrating faith and community with all our families!

Sacrament of Confirmation

Congratulations to all our Year 6 students on their Sacrament of Confirmation! It was wonderful to see their preparation and faith come to life, celebrated in the breathtaking St. Patrick’s Cathedral in the city.

Students have brought home a photo slip to order the professional photo taken at the end of the Sacrament. Envelopes will be collected by the photography company on Monday, 13th October.

Gospel Reflection - Sunday 12th of October

Gospel Reading

Luke 17:11-19

Jesus heals 10 lepers, and one, the Samaritan, returns to give thanks.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Connection

  • Read the story together from a children’s Bible or online.
  • Take some time as a family to reflect on the story of the ten lepers — and how only one returned to thank Jesus. Talk together about how we can remember to say “thank you” to God and others each day.
  • Create a 'Family Gratitude Poster' on a large piece of paper,. Write “Thank You, God, for…” in the centre. Around it, draw or write all the blessings your family is grateful for; big and small! These might include people, experiences, talents, or special moments.
  • Once finished, display your poster somewhere you’ll see it every day.

🙏 Pray together as a Family

Loving God,

We thank You for all the blessings You give us each day. For our family, friends, and the love we share, for the food we eat, the home we live in, and the beauty of creation. Help us to be like the one who returned to thank Jesus, always grateful and ready to show kindness to others. May our hearts be filled with joy and thankfulness in all we do.

Amen

May God bless,
