Indonesian Independence Day Celebrations
We celebrated Indonesian Independence Day on Monday, 17 August. To mark this special occasion, students wore red and white clothing or came in traditional dress from Indonesia. In the morning, students watched a performance of Indonesia Raya from our sister school and Year 6 students spoke about the significance of Indonesia’s Independence Day. The students then watched a performance of Rasa Sayang, featuring our Y6, Y2 & R1 students on stage!
In the morning, the students made kites and Indonesian flags and had the chance to fly their kites and play Tarik Tambang (Tug-of-War).
Running Club Races Around Australia!
The Running Club has been a huge hit at lunchtime, encouraging students to get active, have fun and challenge themselves!
Students are currently taking part in our Race Around Australia, with the goal of completing 1,176 laps to reach the Victorian border. So far, we have completed an amazing 256 laps — that’s almost 22% of the challenge!
Every lap counts, and we are excited to see how quickly we can reach Victoria!
Keep running, keep moving and keep those laps coming!
