Year 6 Excursion to the Queen Victoria Market

Wow! What an amazing learning experience the Year 6s had yesterday. Our new Unit of Inquiry is all about businesses and economics- so what’s a better place to go other than the Queen Victoria Market! 

We walked to Glen Huntly station and caught the train to Flagstaff station. We first stopped at Flagstaff Gardens to have our snack. From there, we ventured to the market and explored a wide range of stalls. We prepared some questions to ask the vendors all about their business. 

We found out that so many people had been running their business at the market for over 20 years! This gave us some wonderful ideas for when we have our own CSPS Market Day in Term 4. Thank you to all the adults who came along to make it a successful day.
