Principal Team's Message

Nurture.  Innovate.  Celebrate.

Dear Students, Parents, Carers and Families,

Spotlight on Foundation

Our Foundation students have been busy celebrating two exciting milestones this term!

The much-anticipated 100 Days of School celebration marked 100 days of learning, growth and friendship. Students enjoyed a range of fun activities while reflecting on just how much they have achieved since starting school.

They also celebrated Milo's Special Birthday, a much-loved event in our Little Learners Love Literacy program. This special celebration reinforced the joy of reading while recognising the wonderful progress our Foundation students have made in developing their early literacy skills. It was a fantastic way to celebrate their growing confidence as readers and writers.

It has been wonderful to see our youngest learners embracing every opportunity to learn, celebrate and shine. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated staff for creating such meaningful and engaging experiences for our students. While learning remains at the heart of what we do, we are equally committed to ensuring every child feels a sense of belonging, confidence and joy at school. It is something our staff do exceptionally well, and I am incredibly proud of the care and dedication they show each day.

New School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support Chronicles

Gallery Image

At Maramba Primary School, we believe that recognising positive behaviour is just as important as addressing concerns. This term, staff have begun using Positive Chronicles on Compass to acknowledge students who consistently demonstrate our four school values of Respect, Relationships, Resilience and Responsibility.

These positive entries allow us to celebrate the everyday moments that make our school a wonderful place to learn. Families will receive a Compass notification when a Positive Chronicle is recorded, providing another opportunity to celebrate their child's achievements and strengthen the partnership between home and school.

By recognising students for consistently making positive choices, we are reinforcing the behaviours that help every child thrive and contribute to our positive school culture.

If you have any questions about our SWPBS program or would like to learn more, you can contact Mr Tolliday at school.

Celebrate Book Week at Maramba!

This year's Book Week theme is Symphony of Stories, and we are looking forward to a week filled with reading, imagination and fun. We warmly invite our students and families to join us in celebrating the joy of books through these two events:

  1. Monday 24 August – Pantomime, Pyjama Day & Story Time

Students and staff are invited to come to school dressed in their pyjamas (please remember to wear safe, closed toe shoes - no slippers). Students are also welcome to bring along their favourite teddy bear for the day.

Our students will enjoy a special Alpha Show pantomime performance in the morning. To finish the day, we are delighted to invite Maramba families and local kindergarten families to our Story Time event from 3:30 pm – 4:15 pm. Teachers will be reading picture books in classrooms across the school, giving families the opportunity to visit a number of stories throughout the afternoon. We would love to see you there!

      2. Thursday 27 August – Book Week Dress-Up Parade

Students and staff are invited to dress as their favourite book character for our annual Book Week Assembly and Dress-Up Parade. There will be prizes awarded across each year level, as well as awards for the Best Book Week Theme Costume and Best DIY Costume.

We can't wait to celebrate another wonderful Book Week together and look forward to seeing our school community embrace the magic of reading!

School Concert

Maramba Primary School's Foundation to Year 6 students present What a Wonderful World. It centres around a group of school children at the end of their primary school journey as they begin to realise that the world around them is not as simple or as bright as it once seemed. As they witness challenges within their community and their belief in happiness is tested, they begin to question whether growing up in a world that can be so difficult is worth it. What will they discover about self-belief, resilience, and finding beauty in the everyday? You have to watch it to find out!
