Student Engagement at Corpus Christi 2026
NAIDOC Week Learning
The past two weeks, the Year One and Two students have been learning about what NAIDOC Week means. Understanding that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are the First Peoples of Australia and have been looking after this land for a very long time. We listened to Dreamtime stories of creation and looked at artworks. Reading Merindah-Gunya’s book, Yakeen Dreaming helped us understand artworks through interpreting the symbols for kangaroos, people, communities, stars and water. We coloured our own artwork using a Beautiful Spirit gallery image.
NAIDOC Week reminds us that we can all learn from one another and celebrate what makes Australia a special place for everyone. We can show respect by listening, learning and being kind.
Child Safe Standard 6
Processes to Respond to Complaints and Concerns
This term we continue to work through the Child Safe Standards ensuring that as a school the safety of our children is a priority. At CCK, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for every child and young person. Child Safe Standard 6 focuses on ensuring that effective processes are in place to respond to complaints and concerns about child safety. We encourage students, families and staff to speak up if they have any worries, knowing that all concerns will be taken seriously, handled respectfully and addressed promptly. By working together, we can help foster a culture where every child feels safe, heard and supported.

Positive Behaviour for Learning
The weekly PBL rule is drawn from our Behaviour Matrix. Each week our children focus on a whole school rule that meets our five school expectations.
