Hello PBSS families!

Welcome back to all our Palm Beach families, we hope you all enjoyed some quality time with your loved ones over the Easter break.

The P&C Annual General Meeting was held on the 24th March and it is our pleasure to announce our dedicated executive committee for 2025 that comprises of;

   President: Paul Gray

   Secretary: Nicole Varian

   Treasurer: Lizzy Upton.

Welcome to the new position holders and we look forward to a great year supporting the Palm Beach State School Community. 

We would also like to take the opportunity to thank Phoebe O'Reilly-Rowe for her work and commitment over the past 2 years as our Treasurer. Phoebe has been relentless in her commitment and volunteering for the P&C, managing the books as well as helping in the uniform shop every week and providing valuable assistance in pretty much every P&C event! Thank you for being such a terrific P&C member Phoebe!

Fundraising Initiatives & Donations

So far this year, the P&C have already been proactive to raise funds for our school. The Easter Raffle Hamper and Bunnings Sausage Sizzle were a hit. Huge thank you to all of the parents who volunteered their time at the sausage sizzle as well as school Principal, Scott Anderson (great photo below!) A special thanks to local MP Hermann Vorster who also volunteered on the day serving up sangas in support of our school.

• Donation for Teachers Supplies: to show a little appreciation to our AMAZING teachers, the P&C were again fortunate enough to be able to offer them up to $100 each to spend for classroom supplies and learning aids. The teachers were extremely happy to receive their goodies to start the year off

Upcoming Fundraisers

Pssst...Mother's Day is next Sunday (May 11). The P&C is offering curated gift bundles ranging from $5 to $30 some featuring the locally-made and super popular Drift candles (seriously, Mums go bananas for them). See attached flyer for the bundle details.

To purchase, simply jump onto Quickcliq, go to 'events' and you'll see the Mother's Day store. 

If you don't have a Quickcliq login, chances are, the love of your life does, so borrow their phone and do the order. We'll also have mini stalls at the uniform shop gate and the C&K gate next week from Tuesday to Friday morning so you can buy your bundles there too!

The next P&C meeting will be held on Monday 12th May at 4.30pm in the school staff lunch room (next to the office). All parents are welcome! Being part of the P&C is a great way to meet other parents, contribute to your child's school and have the opportunity to vote on how we spend our fundraising money. 

A reminder, being a member does not need to take up a lot of your time. You can choose how many and which events you want to assist with throughout the year. Maybe you're keen to organise a Father's Day stall, or a fun run, or help out at a school disco. Meeting attendance is not mandatory, however it is at our meetings that we vote on upcoming initiatives and donations.
