A young clerk once approached his wise and highly successful manager and asked, “When is the best day, week, or moment to begin the journey towards the kind of success you have achieved?”

The manager paused for a moment before replying with an answer that challenged the young man.

“The best day to begin building the habits, behaviours, and learning that lead to success, regardless of what you hope to achieve, is the day that sits between yesterday and tomorrow.”

Of course, that day is today.

No matter what goal, challenge, event, or aspiration appears on your countdown calendar, the time to commit, make the change, and take ownership of a better outcome is not next week or next month. It is today. The decisions you make now, the habits you build now, and the effort you invest now are what will shape your future success.

The best time to make the pivot is not when circumstances are perfect. The best time is today.

CRANBOURNE’S SIS INTERMEDIATE SOCCER TEAM TRIUMPH OVER VIC STATE SOCCER TEAM

On Wednesday night of the 16th September, the Boys Intermediate SIS soccer team got to play in a very important match against the Victorian Churches State Select Team. We were invited to play them due to being scouted during our SIS season and they were preparing for their own National Championships.

To us players it was a very big achievement to get picked to play them but also we had to just treat it like any other match as we knew that we are also a very good team. Before the match we were confident in our abilities to take down the state team and positive talking was going around the change room.

The match kicked off and it was a pretty even match with chances from both sides but the whole team defended against them exceptionally well. Eventually we got our attack going where we managed to go into the first break 1-0 up. The remainder of was more balanced and each team had long periods of possession. With our team starting to get tired and cramp, our squad showed its strength and we kept pushing for that illusive 2nd, which we got with only a few minutes left to put us 2-0 up.

As the final whistle blew we all celebrated in a deserved victory with all our family, teachers, friends and amazing ‘Ultras’ that came to support the school.

I'd like to thank Mr McMellon, who with his great coaching helped play a big part in all of our wins in this very successful season and thank you to all the players (listed below) who gave it their all especially in the final match to really prove to ourselves and other schools just how good we are.

Parking and the Road Rules

Dear Parents,

Please be reminded to follow all parking and road rules during student drop-off and pick-up times.

While it may seem convenient, the dentist's car park adjacent to the campus is not a designated school drop-off or pick-up area. The business owner has kindly asked that families refrain from using this space.

We also continue to see some vehicles using the bus lane to drop off students. This practice is not only illegal, but it also creates frustration for other road users and, most importantly, poses a significant safety risk.

If Navarre Drive is not a convenient option for pick-up or drop-off, we encourage you to park a short distance away and arrange for your child to walk to or from your vehicle. The extra walk is beneficial for their health and wellbeing, and it also helps reduce traffic congestion around the campus.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for all members of our school community.
