3/4 Camp Reflection – Arrabri Lodge

 What an incredible few days our Year 4 students had at Arrabri Lodge last week! Throughout the experience, every student embodied our school values of Respect, Kindness, Love of Learning and above all, Resilience. The weather certainly kept us on our toes! Despite the chilly temperatures and periods of rain, our Year 4s embraced every moment with positivity and determination.  

There was certainly no shortage of excitement, with students participating in ten fantastic activities: mini golf, archery, games room and gaga ball, orienteering, damper making, the ropes course and climbing wall, initiatives, the flying fox and the giant swing. Each activity encouraged students to step outside their comfort zones, support one another and celebrate their achievements. 

Even after action-packed days, the fun continued into the evenings. Students showed off their impressive dance moves during the bush dance, explored the grounds on a torchlit night walk scavenger hunt, enjoyed roasting marshmallows around the campfire and were fascinated by the incredible Black Snake Show, where they had the opportunity to meet, touch and learn about a variety of amazing reptiles.

To finish off an unforgettable camp, we visited Healesville Sanctuary. It was the perfect way to conclude our adventure, giving students the opportunity to learn more about Australia's unique wildlife while reflecting on the wonderful experiences they had shared together.

We are incredibly proud of every Year 4 student. Their bravery, resilience, kindness and willingness to embrace new challenges made this camp such a success. They consistently encouraged one another, tackled new experiences with enthusiasm and represented our school with pride. We hope the memories and friendships made at Arrabri Lodge will stay with them for many years to come.
