Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,

I hope you have all had a fantastic week.

This week we initiated strong VET promotional activities, commencing with Get VET, which was held on Tuesday for our Year 9 and 10 students. Get VET promotes VET courses to local Sunraysia schools in conjunction with the NM VET Cluster Co-ordinator and other VET providers across the region.

Today we hosted 41 students from schools around the district to attend our VET Come and Try Day, where they were able to sample the excellent VET course offerings available at Red Cliffs Secondary College. The day was a great success, and we anticipate that all of our internal VET programs will continue to be popular choices for students at Red Cliffs Secondary College and across the wider region.

Next week we will be facilitating the Attitudes to School Survey (AtoSS) for all students at Red Cliffs Secondary College. This provides an important opportunity for student voice and allows the school to collect valuable feedback. We are committed to ongoing school improvement by listening to what our students have to say.

The annual GAT will be held on Tuesday, 16th June, 2026. All students completing a Unit 3 and 4 subject are required to sit the GAT. GAT workshops are currently being run at school over the coming weeks to ensure students are well prepared for the requirements of the assessment.

Our Senior School Pathways Information Night will also be held on 16th June, 2026. This invitation is extended to all students and families in the senior school. It will provide an opportunity to hear about the various senior school pathway options, listen to presentations from our school leaders, and ask questions about the opportunities available as students move towards their final years of secondary education. This is an important event to help ensure students are guided towards the pathway that best suits their future goals and aspirations.

The Combined Schools Year 12 Ball is coming up on Friday, 12th June, 2026 and will be held at Club Da Vinci. Tickets are now on sale for our Year 12 students and can be purchased through Student Reception. This will be a fantastic evening for our Year 12 students to celebrate the home stretch of their secondary education with their peers from Red Cliffs Secondary College and schools across the region.

Year 10 and 11 mid-year exams will commence next Thursday, 4th June, 2026. More information will be shared with students and families via Compass.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and are ready for a busy end to the term over the coming weeks. We have plenty happening around the school, so please stay tuned to our social media pages, school newsletter and updates shared through the Compass portal.

If you have any questions regarding upcoming events, please do not hesitate to reach out.
