ThinkUKnow Cybersafety Presentation

Thank you to all parents and guardians who attended our recent ThinkUKnow Cybersafety Information Night, delivered by volunteers from the Victorian Federal Police. It was a highly informative evening where we came together as a community to deepen our understanding of how to keep children and young people safe online.

The session provided valuable insights into the online environments our children engage with, current trends in digital technology, and practical strategies to support safe and responsible use. Parents and carers were encouraged to have open, ongoing conversations at home about online behaviour, privacy, and respectful communication.

A key takeaway from the evening was the importance of clear expectations within families.

The ThinkUKnow website offers a range of excellent, practical resources to support this, including guidance on creating a family technology agreement. This agreement can help families set consistent boundaries around screen use, online interactions, and digital wellbeing.

You can explore these resources here: https://www.thinkuknow.org.au

We sincerely appreciate the time and commitment of our families in attending this session, and we thank the volunteers from the Victorian Federal Police for sharing their expertise. Together, we are strengthening our community’s ability to support children in staying safe, informed, and confident in the digital world.
