✨THAT’S A WRAP!✨

A massive thank you to each and every volunteer who contributed their time and energy—whether in big ways or small—towards raising funds for our school and fostering the amazing sense of community we share at MPS! This year was packed with wonderful events, including (but certainly not limited to) Twilight Sports BBQ, School Breakfasts, Coffee Mornings, Special Person’s Day Stalls, Comedy Night, Art Show BBQ, countless raffles, Craft, Discount Toilet Paper sales, and so much more. Your support, alongside the dedication of our school staff, made all of this possible! And a big thanks to all the members of 2024’s P&C for your energy!

A very special shout-out to Luella Charles, our 2024 P&C President, for your unwavering commitment to the school and its fundraising initiatives. You’ve made such a difference—always with a smile, the best earrings, and the energy to pick up muffins, deliver toilet paper, collect eskies, run meetings, and fill our year with joy and fun events! Thank you for everything, Luella!

COMEDY NIGHT

In case you missed it: Comedy Night was a roaring success, raising nearly $15,000 for our school! Check out last month’s Compass for a comprehensive list of the incredible volunteers who made it all happen. Special thanks to the talented Merri-bek parents, Claire Hooper and Bron Lewis without whom the event would not be possible. 

2025 - P&C VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Are you passionate about fostering a sense of community, enhancing school life, and supporting our students' growth? If so, we would love you to join the Merri-bek Parents and Carers Committee (P&C). 

As part of our school's vibrant community, the P&C organises community events and raises funds to improve facilities and services for the benefit of all students. But it's not just about the fundraising…it’s fun to work with folks across our community to help make the school a better place. 

We're currently seeking volunteers to fill key roles in 2025: Don't worry, these roles won't eat up much of your time – just a couple of hours a month can make a big difference. 

The P&C is an opportunity to meet new people, unleash your creativity, and contribute to something truly meaningful.
