HOLIDAY PROGRAM - MACSEYE

ST JOHN'S CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL FOOTSCRAY

Whilst MACSEYE have unfortunately made the decision to not operate a Holiday Program at Sacred Heart or St Mary's this coming school holidays, our students will be able to enrol in the MACSEYE Summer Explorers Holiday Program at St John's Primary School in Footscray. See the flyers below for more information.

After a phone call to the General Manager of MACSEYE services, I have been assured that the holiday program will resume at Sacred Heart in the Term 1 school holiday break of 2026.

PARKING

For the safety of our students and families, can you all please take extra care when driving around school and surrounding streets. There have been a lot of "near misses" on our pedestrian crossing, narrowingly missing Robyn our Lollipop lady and students.

Please also pay attention to the "No Standing", "No Parking" and permit zones.  Council and the Police are patrolling and have fined several families for not adhering to the signs and restrictions. Immediately out the front of school is strictly "Pick Up/Drop Off" Zone. Cars cannot be left unattended  by the driver.

Also please respect our neighbors by not parking over their driveways.

Your support and cooperation in managing traffic flow around our school is much appreciated.

SCHOOL UNIFORMS

At Sacred Heart, our school uniform is a symbol of belonging and unity. It helps students feel part of a supportive community where everyone is treated with dignity, kindness and  respect. Wearing the uniform also encourages a sense of responsibility and sets a positive tone for learning. By presenting themselves neatly and consistently, students reflect the values and spirit of our school.

Please support the school by ensuring your child is their correct school uniform each day.

Please ensure all items are "clearly" marked with your child's or family name.

Thank you.

OPEROO & nFORMA

Just a reminder that, as per the recent post on Seesaw, Operoo will cease operation at the end of this year.

As a result, Sacred Heart Primary School will be moving to a more comprehensive use of nForma as a platform for student information and parent communication.

From 2026 onward, nForma will manage the key functions of:

  • Digital permission forms for excursions, sports attendance etc
  • Medical Information provision
  • Absence notifications
  • Student Academic School Reports
  • Other Notices

This transition will enable a more streamlined and consistent experience for families, with all essential student and administrative information accessible through the one platform.

Below is a link to the guide to assist you in setting up the nForma for Parents App. Further information and reminders will be provided at the beginning of the 2026 school year to support a smooth changeover for all families.

For families who will be returning next year, please prioritise the following two steps before the start of the 2026 school year:

  • Download the nForma for Parents app, if you haven't alredy done so (refer to the guide)
  • Add your child/ren’s Medical Information (refer to the guide)

We will continue to use Seesaw in 2026 for the purposes it is now used for. Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to improve the way we communicate and partner with you in supporting your child’s learning journey. If you have any questions or need assistance with the nForma for Parents App please contact the school office or email office@shnewport.catholic.edu.au.
