Over the last two years the Sacred Heart community has been very fortunate to work with the speech pathologist Kimberley Olive from Now We're Talking (Speech Pathology and Psychology). Her services to the students and staff has been extremely valuable and we wish Kimberley all the best with her future adventures. We are very excited to welcome Alisha, from Now We're Talking to the Sacred Heart Community, who will be working onsite on a weekly basis next year. We look forward to introducing Alisha to the community early next year.
As we approach the festive season, the holiday break can provide lots of excitement but also for many students a lot of change. When the school holidays commence, many students need time to adjust to the change, as the regular structured days and regular contact with their social connections may look different.
Here are some ideas on how to support your child over the holiday break -
-Continue supporting your child with their daily habits such as reading for fun and playing games
-Finding activities that bring enjoyment such as drawing, art and craft activities, puzzles and mindfulness activities
-Outdoor activities such as visiting the our local playgrounds, going on bike rides and being outdoor to enjoy the beautiful summer weather
-Engaging in healthy online habits and managing screen time
-Creating a regular routine such as a structured bedtime routine and healthy eating habits
-Encourage your child to stay connected with their friends

We wish our Sacred Heart community a very Merry Christmas and a happy and safe holiday break. We look forward to seeing you all in 2026!
