                        Junior Performing Arts 

The Junior Performing Arts classroom have excitedly jumped back into it! We are focusing on Dance this term! 

We have read the wonderful book “Olga the Brolga” by Rod Clement. A story about a Brolga who loves to dance and ends up having an animal dance party.

We have had our own animal dance party, danced like the different animals and even retold the story through dance. 

The Grade 2 students have even started choreographing their own animal inspired dances to perform to the class! 

We are excited to start learning our Christmas song lyrics and choreography soon too! 

Senior Performing Arts

The Grade 4 students have stared term 4 off with a bang diving head first into fractured fairly tales. Last term we did all the prep work, this term the students have worked hard to get their performances ready for the stage. There were some truly memorable performances and renditions of classic characters as well as plenty of laughs. 

These type of units definitely remind us that kids love to act and that their modern takes on stories and characters make these types of plays shine!
