Christian Formation

As we journey through the term, it has been both a privilege and a joy to witness the ways in which God is moving in the lives of our students. Across the college, we are seeing young people grow in their understanding of faith and in their desire to live out what it means to follow Christ. Many are developing a deeper awareness of their identity as children of God and seeking to respond to His presence in their everyday lives.

A particular highlight this term has been our recent Community Worship Night, a special evening initiated by students following our mid-year Faith Camp. With over 150 people in attendance, the night brought together students, staff, and families from a range of church backgrounds to worship together. It was inspiring to see students from both Middle and Senior Schools facilitate worship, lead prayers, and share Scripture - demonstrating spiritual maturity, courage, and a heart to serve others. We’re very thankful to all who attended and supported the evening, and we look forward to creating more opportunities like this in the future.

We’ve also been encouraged by the student participation in Bible study groups. Our Senior School Friday Morning Bible Study has concluded for the term and will recommence next term. In addition, a new Middle School Bible Study group - Salt and Light - has just launched, led by a small group of passionate students. With around 25 attendees each week, it has been a space of meaningful conversation, shared devotion, and encouragement as students explore what it means to be a light in their world.

Finally, a reminder that Year 9 students are eligible to express interest in the 2026 Mission Awareness Trips, which offer an opportunity to serve cross-culturally and participate in God’s work of restoration in a global context. These trips have been deeply formative for past participants and continue to be an important part of our college’s commitment to service and faith in action. Expressions of interest are open now - students and parents are welcome to speak with Mr. Siatskas (Missions Coordinator), Miss Hopkins, or myself for more information.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers as we seek to nurture a culture of authentic faith and Christlike character at PVCC. We are excited for all that God has in store for our students in the term ahead.
