Volleyball State Finals Results

A huge congratulations to the Year 8 Boys Volleyball Team who were runners-up at the State Volleyball Finals in Dandenong earlier this term! VUSC remained undefeated throughout their qualifying matches and played extremely well, only to lose the tie break on the last set to be defeated by just two points.  It was such an achievement for VUSC considering there were 800+ schools from around the state participating in this competition. Well done to the team and coach Mr Eugenio!

Congratulations to all the students who participated in Interschool Sports this year! Students were involved in various sports throughout the year including Basketball, Volleyball, Track and Field, Table Tennis, Futsal, AFL, Soccer, Netball, Badminton and Cricket. Jiangsu International Principals' Forum

Recently Mr Leyland travelled to China with other Victorian Principals as part of the Department of Education's International Principals Forum, in conjunction with the Jiangsu Education Department.  Mr Leyland met with our sister school principal and attended several meetings with the view to strengthen the relationship between Victorian and Chinese students.

The Jiangsu-Victoria International Education Centre (JVIEC) and Principal of our sister school gave an insight into the six day visit:

We will strengthen international cooperation and promote coordinated education. On the afternoon of November 14, Glenn Leyland, Vice Principal of Victoria University Secondary College, Josh Sheffield, Principal of Hampton Primary School, and Ding Will, Deputy Director of Jiangsu Victoria Education Center, visited our school. Lu Tingshun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of our school, Wu Menglei, Vice president, Gao Jianguo, director of the office, and the English teachers warmly received the guests who came from afar.

Vice Principal Glenn Leyland spoke highly of the educational philosophy and level of our school, introduced the relevant situation of Victoria University Secondary College in Australia, and fully affirmed the achievements of the cooperation between the two sides for many years. He believes that this visit is a good opportunity for both sides to share experience, and he also hopes that students from both schools can continue to study and exchange in the future.

Vice Principal Glenn Leyland also visited the school History Exhibition Hall accompanied with Principal Lu Tingshun,

In 2014, our school was officially established as a sister school with Victoria University Secondary College. In 2015, 2016 and 2018, our school organized three groups of students to visit Victoria University Secondary College during the holidays, and also served as the host to receive visiting teachers and students from Victoria University Secondary College. The principals of both schools also exchanged views on the occasion of the principals' cooperation meeting. The visit of Victoria University Secondary College not only deepened the friendship between the two schools, but also laid a solid foundation for further cooperation between the two schools in the field of education. In the future, the two schools will open further educational dialogue to cultivate more outstanding talents with innovative spirit and international vision.
