Joseph, the favourite son of Jacob, is blessed with prophetic dreams – and with his father’s gift of a splendid multi-coloured coat. When his eleven jealous brothers send him far away, Joseph endures challenges that test his spirit and humanity. Joseph’s journey of dreams, betrayal, and ultimate triumph is brought to life with dazzling costumes, engaging performances, and the witty lyrics of Tim Rice set to the unforgettable music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Perfect for the whole family, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is filled with laughter, heart and show-stopping numbers performed by our year 2, 4 and 6 students (see the schedule below).

Tickets are on sale on Friday 19 September at the following link: https://www.bendigoregion.com.au/arts-culture-theatres/event/girton-grammar-school-junior-school-joseph-the-amazing-technicolor-dreamcoat

ArtsFest: AQUA

Held at the iconic Beehive Building in Bendigo, this year’s Girton Grammar ArtsFest: AQUA, was a stunning showcase of creativity and talent, truly making a splash. From Prep to VCE, our students explored the theme of water in all its forms through painting, ceramics, photography, printmaking, collage, and film.

Each piece offered a unique lens on this universal element, and together they formed a powerful collective expression of imagination and skill. The exhibition was officially opened on Thursday 11 September by artist John Wolseley, with approximately 140 guests in attendance. Visitors on Saturday morning were treated to musical performances by our Junior and Senior School musicians.

With more than 1000 visitors walking through the doors, it was truly amazing seeing our students’ work displayed in a public space like the Beehive Building. A huge thank you to our incredible Visual Arts team and the entire Girton Grammar community who catered, framed and sacrificed their time to help bring this exhibition to life.
