YEAR 11-12 SCHOOLNEWS

Year 12 Futures and Pathways camp

The year 12 Futures and Pathways camp at Fed Uni Ballarat was a success and congratulations to the staff and students who attended with many fun memories of 2026 being made. A special thanks to all the staff who stayed the 3 days and Mr Lamb for popping up on the Thursday to see the students.

Students also had a session with Elevate education who gave the VCE students some good study tips and techniques such as note taking method and the importance of using colour etc in their revision documents. The VCE-VM students also had a session on making their job applications stand out from the crowd.

Another important session involved Sonia from “Party Safe” who is an experienced licenced venue operator. She spoke about how to make a fun night out enjoyable but safe. She discussed the legalities of the drinking laws, including 18th birthday parties and importantly looking after your friends during nights out. She introduced the students to Somphone e aps which can help when things don’t go the way they have planned.

Sending a special thanks to all the staff who ran sessions and events. Highlights include the VM visit to Sovereign Hill as part of their VM course, the silent disco and the BBQ cooked by our leadership team.

Indigo Wolf update: We have spoken to Indigo Wolf, and they assure me that the jumpers are not too far away!
