Principal's Report 

Term 4

The middle of Term 4 is always a busy point in the year, with students focused on finishing their learning programs and a number of key events taking place across the school. Staff are working hard behind the scenes to wrap up assessments, planning, and end-of-year preparations. Thank you to our whole school community for your continued engagement and supporting the smooth finish to the school year as we move through the coming weeks.

Student Award

On Friday 7th November, Year 12 student Lachlan Hancock was announced as a recipient of the 2025 IVET Excellence Award. Lachlan was one of only eight students recognised across Australia. This award celebrates the dedication, skill, and passion students bring to their VET studies, and it reflects Lachlan’s commitment to building strong skills for his future pathway. Congratulations Lachlan on this outstanding achievement!

2025 Community Concert

Concord School is getting ready for another fantastic end of year celebration. 

This year we are pleased to run an evening concert on Tuesday the 16th of December, from 5.30pm to 7pm. 

With performances from each sections and the school bands, student run market stalls, and a visit from Santa, it is sure to be a fantastic night. We will also have a BBQ and a Coffee Van with refreshments for sale.

Grimshaw Street Roadworks Update

Please be aware that the Grimshaw Street works have now progressed to the other side of the Greensborough Bypass, closer to the school. Grimshaw Street is now closed between Macorna Street/ Watsonia Road and Greensborough Bypass from until 5am, Tuesday 16th December.

During this time Greensborough Road can be accessed via Plenty Road and Watsonia Road.

Principal's Award - Aidan 

Aidan has grown in maturity this year, particularly throughout Term 4. He is a reliable individual who loves to offer a helping hand. Aidan is a ‘go to’ in the 11/12 section; always knowing where something can be found. 

During our ‘Giving Back’ Project he used great initiative in communicating with different businesses to source donations for our garden space. 

Aidan is a thoughtful student who cares for those around him and thinks of what needs to be done before the staff even mention it.

Well done Aidan on your amazing efforts.
