From the Principal

Mother's Day thank you

I hope all the 'mother figures' in our community enjoyed celebrating their special day on Sunday 11 May. Hopefully, you appreciated the small gifts your children/grandchildren purchased at the Mother's Day Stall. I am not sure the children followed my advice to keep their purchases a secret until the Sunday but sometimes their excitement adds to the preciousness of the gift.

Thank you to our wonderful volunteers, Carly, Crystal, Nicholas, Amanda, Emma, Deka, Aliscia, Robyn and Bev who purchased items for the stall and assisted on the stall so the children could make their purchases. Great team work!

Family Fun Night

It was so amazing to have so many families join us for Family Fun Night on Thursday 15 May. It has been a long time since we have held one of these evenings and it was incredible to have so many of our families join us.

Well over 300 people attended the event and enjoyed the delicious sausages cooked by our wonderful catering crew, Amanda, Dwayne, Crystal, Nicholas, Stephen, Rachel, Robyn, Bev, Kim, Julie and Grace. It was a lot of sausages!!

Many thanks to TheirCare for covering the cost of 40kilograms of sausages and Coles at Lalor Plaza for providing the bread

I loved seeing the families spend some quality time together with their children playing the different games and colouring in. I have to say, some of our parents have some well developed colouring skills and are pretty good at problem solving!

Thanks to Charles from bringing some games along for us to play. I definitely need to add Sushi Go to my games cupboard at home!

It means so much to the children when parents can just sit with them while they play games. We should never underestimate just how much our children learn from watching us and the incredible magic moments we can create with our children when we get down to their level and have some fun. I know playing games is still part of the regular activities at our house even though our girls are nearly 26 and 24.

Thanks to all the staff who gave up precious time with their own families to spend time with their LEPS family. We couldn't have managed without you!

Special thanks to Shona McCulloch and Steph Chan for capably coordinating the evening. It was definitely a winner!

A BIG excitement for the evening was the door prizes. LEPS families love to win prizes! Thanks to The Smith Family and Giordano di Fiore (Thomastown) for donating prizes for the raffle.

We can't wait to have fun together again soon!

Choir and Band Performance at Assembly

What a wonderful performance by both the band and choir at this week's assembly! The band sounded amazing, in time and well rehearsed and were able to keep the choir on track with their beautiful singing without any guidance from a conductor. Both Luis and Hannah supported the band and it is obvious that they have been working hard at practising with both the choir and band for them to bring us such a seamless performance. A huge thank you to all involved!

2026 Enrolments

We are now conducting tours for 2026 enrolments. Contact the office on 9465 4350 to book a tour for your 2026 preppie and you. A successful transition to school starts with a tour. It helps children envisage becoming a 'big school person'.
