Friday Club Spotlight - Craft Club with Ms Nield

This term in Craft Club, students engaged in a unit exploring both textile and sculptural art. They began by creating wool landscapes, experimenting with techniques such as swirls, linear patterns, and zigzags, while using colour to represent environments and movement. Students then designed and constructed three-dimensional sculptures using a structured base of a can and foam ball, reinforced with foil and finished with papier-mâché. The sculptures were painted using colour schemes inspired by animals, encouraging creative interpretation. The project will be finalised with the addition of detailed features and accessories to enhance each piece.
