We've had a fantastic term in Year 8, and it's been wonderful to see students continue to grow in confidence, resilience and connection with one another. A highlight of the term was our Phillip Island Camp last week which was a huge success. Students embraced every opportuniuty, challenged themslves with new experiences and demonstrated excellent teamwork and support for their peers. It was incredibly rewarding to see so many students step outside their comfort zones and create lasting memories. We are very proud of the way our Year 8 cohort represented Kurnai and look forward to another great term ahead.

I went to the very top of the giant swing until they told me to stop. I felt like a bird! I felt free for about three seconds, then my stomach dropped. I was terrified and felt like I was going to die! I wanted to go on again.

I was impressed I made it through the high ropes even though I’m scared of heights.

We made a raft and even though ours didn’t float Joel grabbed one of the pieces and swam with it so he won! The team we were racing had a raft that didn’t fall apart, but we still won and it was really funny.

I was really happy I could help another student do an activity he was really scared of, and it was really good to get to help each other.

I had a sniper rifle in laser strike. It was so fun, I got to shoot people who were trying to cross an open area.
