On Tuesday the 17th, early in the morning, we went to Lady Northcote Discovery Camp. We left the school at 9:00am. In my heart I was shivering with excitement. The ride took 45 mins. Our flag/team was the ‘Cool Kids’.
First, we did the Orienteering. The key was to find the markers. You had a map and a paper to write the letters down. Luckily, we found all of them and the riddle was ‘One in a million!’. For the Orienteering I felt tired and happy, because I got to explore lots of things! We walked for almost 1hr and we get to eat early!
After that we did the canoeing and the Giant Swing. After those tiring activities, we finally get to go home! We got back to school at around 5:25pm!

On a wet muddy day, we went on a day camp. The camp was called Lady Northcote. My favourite task was the Gaga Pit because we had do hit the ball hard and try to hit kids with the ball. First, I felt scared, but I came over my fear.

At Deer Park West Primary School, every Wednesday the school participates in Waste Free Wednesday. The students are encouraged to bring a lunch box with NO RUBBISH for both recess and lunch. This is a great way to reduce the amount of waste we create in order to make the earth healthier.
Please assist your child/children in doing this by taking items out of their packets before coming to school.
Thank you,
