Term 1 Celebration of Learning
Each term, we hold a Celebration of Learning, where we invite families into their child’s classroom to share in what students have been learning and to celebrate their achievements.
Our Term 1 Celebration of Learning will be held this Friday, 27 March from 2:30–3:00pm.
Across the school, students have been exploring key number concepts through hands‑on, engaging maths activities. Families are invited to join their children in a range of interactive sessions where students will showcase their growing skills—from making tens in the early years, to developing place value understanding, working with money, exploring decimals, and tackling fraction challenges. These family sessions highlight students’ confidence with essential mathematical ideas and offer a fun opportunity to learn and play together.
Please pop the date in your calendar—we look forward to welcoming you into classrooms and sharing this special time with you.
Foundation 2027 Enrolments – Opening Monday 20 April
We are very pleased to share that Foundation 2027 enrolments will open on Monday 20 April. From this date, families can collect an enrolment pack from our school office, which includes everything you need to get started.
Our school continues to be a place where children feel safe, seen and supported—and where high‑quality learning really thrives. We are incredibly proud of our strong academic results, which reflect not only the hard work of our students but also the expertise and commitment of our staff. Our focus on high expectations, targeted teaching and building confident, capable learners means our students make excellent progress year after year.
If you are new to our school community, we warmly welcome you to contact the office to organise a tour. Visiting the school is the best way to see:
Most importantly, a tour gives you a feel for the sense of connection and pride our students have in their school.
We look forward to welcoming you, showing you around and sharing what makes our school such a supportive, high‑achieving and nurturing place for children.
Strengthening Teaching Through VTLM 2.0 and the Science of Learning
Over recent weeks, our Principal team has been attending network professional learning sessions focused on VTLM 2.0 (Victorian Teaching and Learning Model) and its strong connections to the Science of Learning. These sessions bring together leaders from across the network to explore the latest evidence about how children learn best and how schools can continue to refine teaching practices to support every learner.
VTLM 2.0 emphasises clear, structured and purposeful teaching—approaches that align strongly with decades of research into cognition, memory and effective instruction. This includes the importance of:
Throughout the year, our leadership team will continue working with our teachers to bring this learning to life in our classrooms. This will involve professional learning, collaborative planning, classroom walk‑throughs, and discussions about how evidence‑based strategies can further enhance student learning across the school.
We are excited about the impact this work will have and look forward to sharing our progress with families as we continue strengthening our whole‑school approach to teaching and learning.
Kind regards,
