From the Principal

Friday 13th March - Prep & New Families Drinks - see below for details
Saturday 14th March - Enhancement Session, 9-11am
Wednesday 18th March - Sacrament of Reconciliation, from 5.30pm
Dear St Michael’s School families,
Prayer
We think about and pray for our children who will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation next week.
Loving God,
We pray for our children as they prepare to receive the
Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time.
Fill their hearts with peace, honesty and courage.
Help them to know Your gentle mercy, to speak truthfully,
and to understand how deeply they are loved by You.
Guide them to make good choices, to forgive others,
and to grow in kindness every day.
Bless their families and teachers who accompany them on this journey of faith.
May this sacrament draw them closer to Jesus
and help them walk in His light with renewed joy.
Amen.
CHANGE TO WORK SCHEDULE
I wish to advise all our families that there will be a slight change to my work schedule, beginning in Term Two. For the remainder of this school year, with the support of Father Darien and the approval of the Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools, I will be moving to a 9-day fortnight arrangement. I have given great consideration to this change in my schedule and it is solely based on allowing some time for me to support my elderly mum! I am extremely well myself and am happy to give her this time in her life.
The new arrangement means that, on the scheduled leave day each fortnight, Eloise Ellis will be the designated point of contact, overseeing the school in the Principal capacity in my absence. With a strong leadership team, along with our highly skilled and capable staff, we have strong structures in place to ensure that all matters will continue to be addressed promptly and effectively. This minor adjustment will not impact our commitment to providing a safe, supportive and high-quality learning environment for our children.
I thank you in anticipation of your support.

CONGRATULATIONS STEPHANIE DREW
As many families will be aware, Stephanie Drew (One/Two G) will be taking leave over the next three weeks as she is getting married. We are greatly excited for Stephanie and wish her and Jonathanwell on their special day. We look forward to welcoming her back to her classroom at the beginning of Term Two. In her absence, we are delighted to have Katelyn Struthers as her temporary replacement. Katelyn is already familiar with many of our St Michael's students and families.

YEAR SIX RUGBY JUMPERS
What a joy it was to give our Year Six students their rugby tops last week, after a loooong five week wait! It was a pleasure to give these out and see the wonderful smiles on our children's faces. I love how they wear them even on these warm days we are having!! They look so smart and the children are loving them! Thank you Shelley Davies and Amanda Tran for your work on these in 2025.
