Whole School Assembly this FridayStart at Buninyong

This Friday we start at Buninyong for a whole school assembly. As is our normal routine, we will meet in the courtyard at Buninyong from 8:45am, then head down to the gym. We will return to Scotsburn after the first break, with regular Scotsburn departure at the end of the day.

Principal for a DayNext Tuesday August 25

Mr Morgan has set Scotsburn’s Principal for a Day for next Tuesday! Both classes have created applications, with lots of persuasive writing and creative promises for Mr Morgan - the decision for who to pick will be hard!

By the end of this week, one student from each class will be chosen as Principal for the Day, ready to spend the day with Mr Morgan next Tuesday.

What will they do? Make the toasties? Help with the newsletter? Put the bins out? Run some errands to Buninyong? Drink lots of hot chocolate?

We are sure of all of that and much much more!

Parent/Carer Opinion Survey

Yesterday on Compass, parents and carers should have received an invitation to participate in a Parent/Guardian Survey via Compass.

This survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour and student engagement. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

All responses to the survey are anonymous. This year, the Parents and Caregiver Opinion Survey will be open from Monday August 17 to Friday September 18.

Surveys are conducted online, only take approximately 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

Please check your Compass newsfeed for log in details and how to complete. Your feedback is truly appreciated.

Swimming and Water Safety Program - Week 8

Whilst it is hard to think of anything past the concert, our swimming and water safety program commences in Week 8, one week after the concert. Lessons take place at the Federation University pool by qualified instructors and run for 45 minutes over a 5-day period.

Our sessions will take place from 11:45am to 12:30pm, with us departing from Scotsburn at 11:20am, and returning by 1pm. This will mean that our morning and afternoon sessions will not be affected.

During Week 8, we will still have our regular Scotsburn drop off and pick up arrangements, with students bringing their bathers, goggles and a towel in their school bags.

Father’s Day BreakfastThursday September 3

Gallery Image

This year at Scotsburn we will again be holding a Fathers’ Day breakfast, celebrating all the special father figures in our lives. We would love all of our Scotsburn fathers and special friends to come along to the Scotsburn campus on Thursday 3rd September, for a big breakfast and celebration. We will have the old building ready from 8:15am for any guests, with our students doing all the hard work to show appreciation for their dads and special people in their lives!

Our Scotsburn Fathers’ Day stall will also be on Thursday 3rd September. Please remember to send along $5 or $10 for a gift or two for your child to purchase. All gifts will be $5.

2027 Scotsburn Enrolments

If you know any families that are looking to enrol their child/children for 2027 (or in the foreseeable future), please complete an enrolment form and submit it to the office at Buninyong. If you have any questions, please email Jarrod at jarrod.morgan@education.vic.gov.au

For those considering enrolment at our beautiful campus, the video below is a great snapshot of what we have to offer:

Scotsburn- Virtual Tour (youtube.com)

Scotsburn Intercampus Travel

At times, Scotsburn students will be transported between campuses in order to attend classes, assemblies, special days and events. On most occasions, transport required through the day will be by bus and occasionally private car for smaller groups of students. Parents may be asked to drop off or collect from the Buninyong campus if sessions are at the beginning or ending of a day.

We will always let you know of any upcoming travel arrangements via our newsletter, Compass, or via phone for smaller, more specific travel arrangements.

If you ever have any questions or concerns regarding intercampus travel, please contact your child’s teacher.
