Week 8 Update
With just over two weeks remaining, we are approaching the end of another busy and successful term. It is important that everyone continues to stay focused, keep on task and finish the term strongly.
It was wonderful to see so many families attend our Learning Conferences and share in and celebrate each student’s growth, achievements and next steps. Our students and staff have achieved so much already, and we look forward to finishing what has been an amazing term at LNPS.
In exciting news, through our school’s involvement in the Gather Round Carnival, we have been fortunate to receive funding to replace the AFL goalposts on our oval, with installation scheduled for December.
New Zealand Study Tour
During Weeks 9 and 10, I will be travelling to Auckland as part of a scholarship study tour, where I will visit eight schools and explore their approaches to assessment, feedback and reporting, particularly how they incorporate learner qualities and dispositions. I will also attend the International Primary Principals Federation Conference. This is an exciting opportunity to learn from innovative schools, connect and network with educational leaders and colleagues, and bring new ideas and approaches back to support our ongoing work at LNPS.
During my absence, Mirjana will be Acting Principal, supported by Anton and Erin Perkas. Kathryn Baker will teach R8 during this time.
Festival of Music
Our Festival of Music choir students will take part in their Dress Rehearsal and Performance next Tuesday. This is always a wonderful opportunity to showcase the talent and dedication of our students on a big stage. We extend our congratulations and best wishes to all involved.
SAPSASA Knock Out Soccer
A huge congratulations to our Year 5/6 Girls and Boys Knockout Soccer squads, who have progressed through Round 2 and secured their places in the semi-finals at ServiceFM Stadium!
This marks the fifth finals appearance for our LNPS boys in the past nine years—an outstanding achievement and a reflection of the strength of soccer at LNPS.
We are incredibly proud to have both our girls and boys competing in the finals in the same year for the first time. Whatever the results, we know both teams will represent LNPS with pride, determination and outstanding sportsmanship.
