Grade 5 News
Room 3 & 4 have been very busy this term. Our excursion to Sovereign Hill was a wonderful opportunity to experience life in the 1850’s. The students enjoyed watching gold how gold is melted down and learnt to value of the gold bullion, a whooping 750,000 dollars.
Naplan was spread over two weeks, all students tried their best and the results will be published in the coming months.
The athletics day was held in bright sunshine, with all students participating with enthusiasm. Swimming was also a highlight, with students learning swimming strokes and lifesaving techniques throughout the week.
We are all looking forward to Easter and the school holidays. Wishing all families a stay and happy break. Term two brings new learnings and wonderful opportunities for everyone.
Grade 6 News
Our Year 6 students have had a busy few weeks to finish the term. We saw many students trying their best at school athletics, before following this up last week at our swimming lessons. Congratulations to all who participated! This term, our students have enjoyed learning about different empires around the world. They have relished being able to express their opinions and engage in discussions around the ethics, benefits and consequences of civilisations expanding across the globe.
