Regional Cross Country

HASTINGS FORESHORE

Last Wednesday was a curriculum day for Baxter PS. Whilst most students may have had a sleep in, Will M from 45S was busy preparing himself for the Regional Cross Country, which was once again held at Hastings foreshore.

Will knew that this race was a massive step up as far as competition goes, so he had to both mentally & physically prepare himself. Although understandably nervous, Will was excited to have the support of his family, Baxter PS staff & also some mates, to cheer him on!

Will ran an outstanding 2km race and finished 12th place in the 10-year-old boys! This was a phenomenal effort and qualified him to continue on his journey, now scheduled to run in the Victorian State Championships in July, at the Yarra Valley.

Will now represents our school, our district and our region in cross country. Congratulations, Will - what an incredible achievement! We are beyond proud of you and wish you the best of luck for the state championships, next month!
