School Review
Our school is preparing for its upcoming school review. This process helps evaluate our progress, celebrate our achievements, and set clear goals for the future. This review is a vital opportunity to reflect on what we do well and how we can continue to grow as a learning community.
We are pleased to welcome our Challenge Partners, Tina Coumbe from Crib Point Primary School and Peita Cooper from Ballam Park Primary School, who will be joining us as part of our review panel. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, and their external perspectives will be invaluable in helping us reflect on our progress and continue to strive for excellence.
The review panel will also include Brian Mills as our reviewer, alongside members of the school’s leadership team and Kylie Bethune, our School Council President. Together, this group will support and guide the review process as we plan for the future of our school.
The School Council plays a key role in this process—offering a parent and community voice, helping shape school priorities, and working in partnership with leadership and staff to guide our vision.
Staffing Update
I am delighted to share that Kelsey Brisbane has recently joined our school community in an Education Support role. Kelsey brings experience from the Early Childhood sector and has made a seamless transition into our school. We’re excited to have her on board and welcome her to the team.
Additionally, Jade Dahlstrom, our Learning Specialist, will be taking long service leave for the remainder of this term and throughout Term 3. In her absence, we are pleased to welcome back Liz Taylor, who is returning from long service leave. Sam Louchery will continue in 1T and Liz will be working 3 days a week in our learning enhancement program.
Early Arrivals
Over the past few weeks, we have observed that several students have been arriving at school very early. Please remember that teacher supervision in the school yard begins at 8:45am and students should not arrive before this time. Families needing extra support in the mornings are encouraged to contact Team Kids (Before and After School Care).
Trivia Night
Our annual trivia night is coming up quickly! Please remember to save the date of Saturday 16th August. Similar to last year, we encourage families to organise tables of 8-10, however we will certainly sell individual tickets for those that require it. Tickets are $30 per person.
Any donations that families can contribute to the night would be much appreciated. Janine and Teresa have already done a mountain of work in the background and have some amazing auction items. Please contact admin for all enquiries.
We acknowledge the Bunurong people, the Traditional
