Uniting Church Lunch
On Tuesday, 17th June, Ms Dana Smith and a wonderful group of Year 9 students travelled down to the Uniting Church for our last lunch commitment for Term 2.
Mrs Pittman in the Boarder’s Kitchen created beautiful lasagne with dauphinoise potatoes and peas. To follow up Mrs Pittman had also made 25 chocolate cupcakes with lashings of butter cream icing, comfort food at its finest. Thank you sincerely Mrs Pittman.
Our team fed 24 people on the day which is a great effort indeed. The colder months often mean more people attending the lunch, and the folks attending are always very grateful. This is a very enlightening experience for our students. Seeing first-hand the very real day to day needs in our own Community fosters empathy, compassion and the will to make a difference. Heartfelt thanks to you all.
