School Community Club

The Maroondah School Community Club (SCC) is an after-school Downball program that invites primary school students to compete against other like-minded Downball fanatics in the Maroondah LGA.

It is the first-ever official out-of-school hours competition for the sport of Downball and aims to develop and strengthen local communities through intergenerational engagement and participation in a supportive environment.

This weekly competition, run on a quarterly basis, presents an affordable and accessible program for all students and parents during after school hours. 

The program will launch in Term 2 on April 15, and will be hosted at Mullum Primary School on Monday nights between 4-6pm.

Downball Australia came and ran a workshop at lunchtime on Monday this week for all students and flyers were sent home yesterday with all Grade 3-6 students, enabling you to register your child for this program.

On Monday, 22 April, Downball Australia invite all parents to head on down to the courts for a Parent Challenge at 5:00pm, where parents can compete with each other and then join in the complimentary BBQ at the end.  We hope you can join us.
