Hearts for Nepal 

This week our prayers have centred on the people of Nepal-Tibet as they continue to work through the devastation of their community, home and family. A tragedy that begun on August 26 and is one that is continuing to evolve.  

Our hearts were overflowing with generosity today as we showed up wearing red symbolising outreach and prayers for those suffering in Nepal. 

Thank you to all who donated gold coins which will be donated to Caritas Australia as they support others. 

A final amount of $267.35 was raised today. 

This was announced and celebrated today at Terrific Kid Assembly and led by our Year 6 Just Leadership Team.

Season of Creation Art Competition 

This year, the theme for Caritas' Art competition is Living Water and is drawn from the global Season of Creation theme for 2026.  

Learners from Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 have been learning about God's gifts of creation and our need to care for these.  

Water is a gift from God that sustains all life. Through Art, we invited these learners to explore what Living Water means to them — from rivers, oceans and rainfall, to renewal, hope, justice, faith and care for creation. 

Entries have been submitted to this competition, and we wish entrants all the best.

Sacramental preparation 

Over 40 families gathered at the Sacramental meeting at St Mary’s Church to learn more about the program, dates and meaning. If you were unable to be at this meeting, please reach out to Father Novie at the Parish for support and further information. 

Choir takes to the road 

On Wednesday St Mary’s Choir walked to Echuca Aged Care Community to spread joy by way of song and conversation. We were warmly welcomed by such joy filled faces of the residents who embraced the moves that we taught them to accompany some of our songs. This experience provided a wonderful opportunity for our learners to build connections within our local community, share their love of music, and bring joy to others through their gifts and talents. 

We value opportunities such as these, which promote community engagement, compassion, and confidence while allowing learners to perform for an appreciative audience. 

We are extremely grateful to Terri Biddle and Tamara Davies for their support during this event.  

Mass & Liturgy Timetable 

Heavenly Father, We thank You for this term -  for the challenges that shaped us, the successes that encouraged us, and the mistakes that helped us grow. 

 Thank You for our teachers, classmates, families, and for every moment of learning and friendship. 

 As we enter this break, grant us rest, joy, and safety in all we do. 

 Fill our homes with peace, our hearts with gratitude, and our days with Your guidance. 

 Refresh us in body, mind, and spirit, and bring us back ready for a new beginning.
