District Swimming 2025

District Swimming will be held on 24th of Feb and is open to all 2025 grade 3-6 students. If you are interested in representing OOPS. You will need to submit a swimming time to James. Students can swim in 2 individual events, 1 freestyle relay and 1 medley relay. All times need to be submitted by the 14th of Feb. Any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Register times here

Team Vic 2025

Each year, School Sports Victoria hold trials to make it to Team Vic, a representative team for the state. As a school we can nominate 3 students to attend the trials. The sports consist of Australian Rules, Netball, Football (Soccer), Hockey and Basketball. Trials will be held at school in early 2025 and open to all grade 5/6 students. If you are interested in attending the trials at OOPS, please complete this form. We will be accepting responses until 14th of February.

District Tennis 2025

District Tennis is being held at St Thomas Primary School on 1st of March 2025. 1 girl and 1 boy from grade 5/6 can be selected to represent OOPS. Trials will be held early 2025. If you are interested in trialling out for tennis, please complete this form. We will be accepting responses until the 14th of February.

Sports Academy

Sports Academy applications are now open for 2025 grade 5 and 6 students.

The Old Orchard Sports Academy aims to provide additional education to selected Year 5 & 6 students on how to be a great sports person. This is a practical program that involves learning about all the different ways we can get the most out of sport. The program will include some theory components that are translated into practical scenarios for the students to use in their sporting environments. The skills taught in this program would also translate to general life skills building confident, resilient and knowledgeable students.

The Old Orchard Sports Academy will run with 2 groups over the year. Each group will consist of up to 20 students. The sessions timings are yet to be confirmed, please note that they maybe held before school at 8:00-8:50. Please consider this before applying.
