Uniform Updates

Winter uniform changeover

As we get ready to switch over to the Winter Uniform, we encourage all families to use these school holidays to get organised and see what uniform still fits and what has been outgrown!

There is a 3 week changeover period at the start of Term 2 which allows students to choose which uniform (summer or winter) they wear as the season transitions to cooler weather. If you need new uniform items, please visit our uniform supplier Bob Stewart at their Uni Hill store or the second hand uniform shop at the college.

Update to Girls Secondary Winter Uniform Options

We would like to inform families of a small but important update to the College’s winter uniform policy.

Beginning this winter season, girls in secondary school only may continue to wear the summer dress if they choose, paired with the College blazer (with the woolen pullover remaining optional). This provides an additional, comfortable option alongside the traditional winter uniform of the winter skirt or pants with the white shirt, tie, (optional woolen pullover) and blazer.

Following secondary student advocacy for this change last year, parents were surveyed to assess their level of support. This adjustment offers greater flexibility for students while maintaining a neat and consistent appearance across the College. With some students finding the summer dress more comfortable, this update allows them to continue wearing it throughout the cooler months, worn with the blazer for warmth and uniform consistency.

Update to College Blazer Fabric

We’re pleased to share that the College blazer has been updated from a flannel wool fabric to a modern twill fabric (still including a substantial wool content), while keeping the same style and appearance.

This change offers several practical improvements for students and families:

  • Greater durability – twill holds its shape, resists pilling, and stands up better to daily wear.
  • Better weather performance – it repels light rain and dries faster than flannel wool.
  • Easier care – fewer creases, simpler cleaning, and a consistently polished look.
  • Improved comfort – lighter, smoother, and more breathable for students.

The blazer will look the same — it will simply perform better, last longer, and be more comfortable to wear. And the cost has also been reduced with this change. This new style is available in store at Bob Stewart Uni Hill.

The previous flannel wool blazers can continue to be worn, and if preferred, can be purchased through the second hand uniform shop at the college.

Refreshed Trackpant Style

We’re pleased to introduce a refreshed trackpant style designed to enhance comfort and everyday wearability for our students. The updated design features a wider, softer waistband, an additional pocket, and an embroidered logo. The colour and fleece weight remain the same as the previous style, ensuring consistent warmth and a uniform look.

For our youngest students there is a junior trackpant with double knee for added durability.

The new style trackpants will be available for purchase at the Bob Stewart Uni Hill store during the upcoming school holidays. As a reminder, only PVCC navy trackpants with the College logo are permitted under the uniform policy.

The previous PVCC style trackpants can continue to be worn while they are in good wearable condition.
