Mothers Day Breakfast

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our Mother's day Pancake breakfast. A shout out to the staff & students who cooked pancakes and organised the morning. It was lovely to see many families come together for this event to celebrate special family members. We hope all the mums out there also had a lovely Mother’s Day on Sunday.

Walk to School Day - come and join us!

Next week we will be recognising Walk to School Day  on Tuesday 19th so our grade 5/6 students can join the fun. (they will be away on camp friday 22nd) This is a national event held each year to encourage students, their parents and Carers to walk safety and regularly to school. So next Tuesday 19th we will meet at the Ampol Service station at 8:10am and at the skatepark at 8:20am  and walk to school together if any students/ families are interested.

Education Support (ES) Appreciation Day

This Saturday,16th May we celebrate the work our wonderful Education Support (ES) staff do at RPS. Education Support Personnel Day is a day to honour and recognise the extraordinary contribution education support staff make to education.  We thank our ES staff for all that they do in classrooms, the office, the sickbay, across wellbeing, in the canteen and garden, and in maintaining the school. Our school wouldn’t run as smoothly as it does without the support of each and every one of our ES staff members!

Cross Country

Good luck to the students who will represent our school at the Campaspe event in Echuca/Moama tomorrow.

2025 Annual Report

This week our Annual Report was approved for quality assurance by the Education Department. Our Annual report is one way for the school council to inform the community of what has been achieved in 2025 and how the school is performing.  It is an opportunity to reflect on the school’s achievements and use this as a basis for future planning. It is great to reflect on the results we have achieved as a school and celebrate our successes whilst carefully planning to ensure our results continue to improve. If you would like to take a look at our Annual Report it is now available on the school Website on the Policies page.

EDUCATION WEEK

Next week is Education week and we have many things planned across the week. Please check the timetable to see what's happeining each day

Elmore Field Day - We need you!

Once again we will support the Elmore field Days as one of our major fundraisers and we have  a full allocation of shifts this year - so need twice as many volunteers. The Field Days are on the 6th, 7th & 8th of October. We have short & long shifts and even asked if any one person was available for all 3 days. Shifts could include - food production, food preparation, delivering, serving, cleaning, dish washing, or stationed in the main shed or food van. No experience required.  Please contact the office if you or a friend, grandparent or neighbour is able to help us out or go on our emergency list.

Industrial Action

Where possible, we will continue to provide you with information regarding industrial action as the AEU and Government continue negotiations. The AEU has recently paused proposed stop-work action for the last 2 weeks whilst negotiations continue. A planned ban on written comments in student reports will still impact on Semester 1 reports. I will provide more detailed information over the coming weeks.
