Heads of Secondary Years' Report

Dear Hazel Glen Community,

Over the past two weeks, our College community has been actively engaged in a range of meaningful activities and events that highlight our commitment to education, cultural awareness, and student development.

We proudly celebrated Education Week, which provided an opportunity for students and staff to reflect on the importance of learning and achievement across all levels.

On Monday 26th May, students attended the Whittlesea Council in South Morang. The Whittlesea Council in conjunction with the Whittlesea Reconciliation Group conducted Sorry Day proceedings where students engaged in learning about the history of our First Nations People and the importance of Sorry Day as it commemorates and acknowledges the strength of the Stolen Generations Survivors.

Recently, our students completed the Attitude to School Survey, a valuable tool that helps us gather feedback on their experiences and wellbeing, informing future improvements in our educational approach.

In the area of sports, multiple teams represented our school in the Whittlesea Division Sports competitions, showcasing great teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship.

We commend all students and staff for their enthusiasm and dedication throughout these busy weeks and look forward to continuing our journey of growth and achievement together.
