Dear Parents and Carers,
What an incredible few weeks of learning, curiosity, and celebration we have enjoyed across the school! From stepping into the magical worlds of literature to diving hands-on into the wonders of science, our students have shown immense enthusiasm.
Literacy & Science Celebrations
Book Week & Whole-School Novel Foci: We wrapped up our whole-school novel study with a vibrant week of literary activities. The celebration ended on a high note with a cozy Charlotte’s Web movie afternoon, bringing our shared reading journey to a wonderful close. Thank you to Ebony Jenkin and Luke Hewitt for organising an amazing day and bringing alive our love of literacy and reading.
Science Week: Hands-on discovery took center stage! Students engaged in rich scientific concepts through interactive experiments, specialised excursions, and deep exploration across all year levels.
Sharing our STEM Learning
The excitement from Science Week is leading directly into our upcoming showcase events, where our students' hard work will be on full display.
Little Scientists, Big Ideas STEM Expo (September 15)
We are proud to host schools from across the peninsula to share how STEM learning can make a meaningful difference for others. Some of our Year 5 and 6 students will represent our school in the competition, presenting their innovative projects to special guest judges, including our local State Member, Paul Mercurio.
Whole-School STEM Afternoon (September 15 | 2:45 PM – 3:15 PM)
Directly following our STEM Expo, we warmly invite all families to join us for our interactive Whole-School STEM Afternoon!
This special event is a celebration of curiosity, design thinking, and practical problem-solving. Throughout the term, every student—from our youngest learners in Foundation right through to Year 6—has been hard at work researching, building, testing, and refining their own original STEM projects. Our students have put immense effort into their designs and are eager to explain their process, share their trial-and-error moments, and demonstrate their final working models.
This is a fantastic opportunity to walk through the learning spaces, ask our young innovators about their discoveries, and celebrate their hard work alongside our school community. We look forward to seeing you there for a wonderful afternoon of discovery and inspiration!
Fathers Day
Join us on Friday, September 4th, as we honor the wonderful fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and significant father figures in our community with a fantastic day of celebration. We have events planned across both the morning and afternoon to show our deep appreciation for everything they do.
- Father’s Day Stall (Morning): Students can visit our annual Father's Day stall throughout the morning to pick out a special gift for their loved ones. All items at the stall are priced at $5.00.
- Foundation Liturgy (2:45 PM): In the afternoon, our youngest learners in the Foundation class will lead a heart-warming Father's Day Liturgy to celebrate the special men in our lives.
- Community BBQ (3:15 PM): Following the Liturgy, we invite all families to join us for a delicious community BBQ to cap off the day.
We warmly encourage all fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and special people in our students' lives to come along and celebrate with our school community. We look forward to seeing you there!
Tidy Towns Finalists!!
Congrats to our amazing Dom Taylor on helping our school get into the state finals of the Victorian Tidy Town Awards in 3 different categories. For Education and behaviour change, Environment and Young Leaders. Well done to all involved and fingers crossed!
Pupil Free Day - Friday August 28th
Just a reminder, this coming Friday is a pupil-free day, and no students will be attending school. Thank you for your support and cooperation in making alternative arrangements for your children on this day.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Gab’s father, Brian Stahl. Brian was a true gentleman and an extraordinary family man who dedicated himself to making our broader community a better place for everyone. We know how much he meant to Gab and her family, and as a school community, we are wrapped in support around them during this incredibly difficult time. Please join us in sending our deepest sympathy, love, and thoughts to Gab and her family.
