Celebrating Outstanding NAPLAN Results at Deer Park West Primary School
We are delighted to share that the 2026 NAPLAN results have now been released to schools, and once again our students have achieved exceptional results across all assessed areas.
In March, students in Years 3 and 5 completed NAPLAN assessments in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Grammar and Punctuation, and Spelling. These assessments provide one measure of student progress and achievement, helping schools understand how well students are developing important literacy and numeracy skills.
We are incredibly proud to report that Deer Park West Primary School performed above both Similar Schools and Network Schools in almost all assessment areas. Similar Schools are schools with a comparable student profile to ours, while Network Schools include schools across the Deer Park and Sunshine area.
What does this mean for our community? It means that our students are achieving at a level that exceeds students in schools with similar characteristics and schools within our local network. These results reflect the hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the strong partnership we share with families in supporting every child to reach their potential.
The tables below provide a comparison of our 2026 results against Similar Schools and Network Schools. State and national comparison data will be released later this year, with results expected in August.
We congratulate all of our students on their efforts and achievements and thank our families for their ongoing support in helping our learners thrive.

We encourage you to take the time to read through the report and celebrate your child’s efforts.

2027 Foundation Enrolments
Enrolments for Foundation (Prep) 2027 at Deer Park West Primary School are still open!
Starting school is a big milestone in a child’s life, and we are here to support families every step of the way. At Deer Park West Primary, we are proud to offer a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can learn, grow and thrive.
As we prepare to welcome our 2027 Foundation students, we’re also continuing our strong partnerships with local kindergartens to ensure a smooth and positive transition to school. We’re working with kinder teachers to plan visits, share helpful information, and help children feel confident and excited about starting school.
Throughout this term, we are excited to welcome children from our local kindergartens for school visits. These sessions give our future students the chance to explore our learning spaces, experience life at school, and meet some of the friendly teachers and students who will be part of their journey next year.
If you have a child starting school next year, or know someone who does, please contact our school office for more information about the enrolment process. We’re here to help make this transition a positive experience for every child and family.
Warm regards,
