Middle School News

Upper Primary (Years 5-6)
Upper Primary students have been busy in their classrooms preparing activities for the Winter Fete! Students have made chocolate balls, signs and practiced running their stalls.
Whilst all this has been happening, we have been working hard across all key curriculum areas, consolidating our learning across the Term.
Lower Secondary (Years 7-8)
The Year 7s and 8s returned to school after an exciting week of swimming. Some students were feeling quite tired after the program, while others returned surprisingly energised!
We reflected on our fun week by writing sentences about our swimming experiences. Learning continued across all curriculum areas as students engaged in a range of activities.
In Phonics, we introduced new sounds and practised blending, segmenting, reading, and writing words with these sounds. In Numeracy, students further developed their understanding of addition, subtraction, and statistics.
One of the highlights of the week was seeing students transform into young chefs. As part of their learning about healthy food and nutrition, they made healthy smoothies and pizzas, providing a hands-on and delicious learning experience.
It was great to finish the week with our cohort assembly. There were a variety of performances by students, who all had the opportunity to showcase their amazing talents, as they always do!
