Spotlight on Learning
Year 3 - Poetry
During Term 2, the Grade 3 students explored the world of poetry. They learned what makes a poem unique, examined the different elements and structure of poems, such as rhyme, repetition, couplets, onomatopoeia and alliteration. They have also had the opportunity to read and write a variety of poetic forms, including acrostic poems, cinquains, haikus, and limericks.
